Large, thick wafers made with oak bark, spirulina, wheat germ, herring meal, and alfalfa — a superb food for isopods, millipedes, and cockroaches, and particularly well suited to wood-eating species.
What makes these wafers stand out is the inclusion of oak bark, which provides cellulose — an important dietary component for wood-eating invertebrates. Many isopod species naturally consume decaying wood as a key part of their diet, and these wafers deliver that in a convenient, nutrient-dense format. At 17mm x 3mm, they're chunky and dense, holding together well in the enclosure and giving your colony something substantial to graze on over time.
Why these wafers?
- Oak bark — provides cellulose, essential for wood-eating inverts
- 38.3% crude protein — strong protein content for growth and breeding
- Spirulina — supports immune health and overall condition
- Wheat germ — an excellent source of fibre, fatty acids, and essential nutrients
- Alfalfa (lucerne) — adds plant-based nutrition and additional fibre
- Rich in vitamins — A, D3, E, and C in generous amounts
- Large 17mm x 3mm wafer — dense and long-lasting, softens gradually when misted
How to use: Place one or two wafers into your enclosure and give them a mist. They'll soften over time and your inverts will gather around and graze on them. Replace any uneaten wafers after a couple of days. A fantastic complement to leaf litter, flakes, pond sticks, vegetables, and other protein sources.
