100% natural dried whole sprats, a protein-rich treat for isopods, millipedes, and cockroaches.

Dried sprats are small whole fish from the herring family, dried whole with nothing added, so the bones come with the flesh.

Why Dried Sprats?

  • 70.4% crude protein
  • 100% natural, whole dried sprats with nothing else added
  • Large size: can be broken into smaller pieces or left whole for your colony to gather around and graze on over time

How to Use

Break a sprat into smaller chunks and scatter them into your enclosure, or leave one whole and let your colony cluster around it. They're a firm favourite and you'll often find your inverts swarming them. Remove any uneaten fish after a couple of days. Best used as a protein supplement alongside leaf litter, calcium sources, flakes, vegetables, and other foods as part of a varied diet.

A high-value protein treat for isopods, millipedes, and cockroaches. For a small isopod tub, our dried anchovies are the same whole fish at a size a colony clears before it turns. Sprats suit land hermit crabs too, offered a small piece at a time and lifted out by morning, as our guide to what hermit crabs eat sets out. For Turtles and Terrapins

A whole dried fish is a natural treat for the aquatic turtles and terrapins that scavenge fish in the wild, and larger animals will take a sprat whole; break it up for smaller ones. Treat it as an extra on top of a turtle pellet or stick, not a replacement for it. Not for poultry: UK feed rules limit the animal protein farmed birds can be given. Other foods for turtles, fish and reptiles are on foods for reptiles, turtles and fish.

Please Note

These are large whole sprats. They do have a strong fishy smell, which is completely normal and part of what makes them so attractive to your inverts.

Ingredients

100% dried whole sprats.

Size

100g of whole sprats. One fish broken up occupies a tub for days, so a bag this size covers a great many feeds; sealing it between them keeps the smell in the bag.
