100% natural sun-dried shrimp, a high-protein treat that isopods, millipedes, and cockroaches go absolutely mad for.
Dried shrimp are one of the best protein sources you can offer your invert colony. With up to 62% crude protein, they provide a massive nutritional boost that supports growth, breeding, and healthy moulting. They're also rich in chitin, a natural substance that aids digestion.
Why Dried Shrimp?
- Up to 62% crude protein: one of the highest protein foods you can offer your colony
- 100% natural, whole shrimp, sun-dried using a delicate process that preserves maximum nutrients
- Rich in chitin: a natural fibre that helps regulate digestion
- Easily absorbed proteins: your colony gets more out of every feed
- A firm favourite across all species: your inverts will swarm these
How to Use
Drop a few dried shrimp into your enclosure. Your inverts will find them quickly and gather around to feed. They can be offered whole or broken into smaller pieces for smaller species or mancae. Remove any uneaten shrimp after a couple of days. Best used as a protein supplement alongside leaf litter, calcium sources, flakes, vegetables, and other foods as part of a varied diet.
A high-value protein treat for isopods, millipedes, and cockroaches, particularly useful for fuelling breeding colonies. Browse our full accessories collection for the leaf litter, calcium, and other foods that make up a complete varied diet.
Our guide to feeding shrimp to your isopods goes deeper on frequency by species and why shrimp shells deliver a calcium bonus that insect protein cannot.
For Turtles, Terrapins and Fish
Whole dried shrimp are one of the classic treats for aquatic turtles and terrapins, and most take them eagerly. They're a treat rather than a diet, so keep a complete turtle pellet as the staple and offer shrimp on top. Larger aquarium and pond fish, cichlids and koi among them, take them too. We sell these as animal food, not for the kitchen, and not for chickens or other poultry, where UK feed rules restrict animal protein. More foods for turtles, fish and reptiles are on foods for reptiles, turtles and fish.

Size
100g of whole shrimp. You are dropping in only a few at a time, fewer still when they are broken up for smaller species, so the bag runs to a long stretch of protein feeds.
